CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) is an all India examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT, Bombay), on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Education, Government of India.
The examination tests the candidates for visual perception ability, drawing skills, design aptitude and communication skills. CEED is a qualifying examination for admission to Post Graduate M.Des. programmes at the Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay; IDDC, IIT Delhi; CPMD, IISc Bangalore; design Programme, IIT Kanpur.
Application Form And How To Apply :
There are two possible modes of obtaining the application form and information brochure:
- Application form and brochure can be obtained from the GATE Office, IIT Bombay, on payment of non-refundable registration and application fees of Rs. 990/- (Rs. 495/- only for SC/ST candidates) by crossed Demand Draft in favour of IIT Bombay and payable at Mumbai. These can be collected personally at the GATE Office counter, or can be obtained by post by sending a request letter along with DD. Two address slips should be enclosed along with the request. Completed application should be submitted to the same address, either at the counter, or by Speed Post.
- Application form and brochure can be downloaded from IITB website http://www.iitb.ac.in/gate/ and the completed application should be submitted along with non-refundable application fee of Rs 950/- (Rs 475/- for SC/ST Candidates) by crossed Demand Draft in favour of IIT Bombay and payable at Mumbai, by Speed Post to GATE Office, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai 400 076
